The Big Easy

Once we left Florida it was a quick trip across the lower ends of Alabama and Mississippi, and into Louisiana. We took a small detour to Hammond to drop our car at a mechanic that our friend, Steve, had recommended to us.

Then we headed toward New Orleans. We stayed at Bayou Segnette State Park on the West Bank. It was a nice little park and it’s a good thing, because $50 round trip Uber ride to the French Quarter kept us in the park most of the time we were there. We did make two excursions into town for beignets and cafe au lait at Cafe du Monde, cocktails at Boubon O Bar, and Dinner at the Foundation Room at the House of Blues.

It was a beautiful time and I can’t wait to go back!
